NAVTEQ

Created over 10,000 three-dimensional (3D) models of architectural landmarks from around the world
(from Empire State Building in New York, to Burj Khalifa in Dubai, to Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, to Christ statue above Rio de Janeiro).

3D Landmarks are a crucial part of NAVTEQ maps, used in navigation (GPS) devices in BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and more.

Each landmark was photographed 360°, then the size was laser-measured, after which a realistic-looking 3D computer replica was created.

NAVTEQ, headquartered in Chicago, IL, is the leading global provider of maps with more than 4,000 employees worldwide.
